What if what we really needed was a word from God?
What if people were obedient to Him, in telling others the things that He has told us?
This world might be changed. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard people retell a story with a faraway look in their eye, remembering the time a word from God came at just the right time, and it has framed their life from that moment on.
How many times have I done the same? I can remember times from when I was 15, vividly, recalling a moment in time when I felt the Lord speak, and it carries with me today, still influencing who I am.
How easy might it be to do this? Easier than I think probably. It takes something like 5 minutes, a bible and a willing heart.
I was reminded of this today, when I sent out a seemingly insignificant email to someone, who I had prayed for and got a verse. Their reply was something that blew me away and humbled me. It was a confirmation from God in so many ways to them.
How blessed am I? How privileged. How deserving? Hah. It is humbling because we do not realise the effect and power that we have at our disposal. We can change lives. We can change the world.
My dream for the school I am running in July, is that it is a 6-month program. Where it would be so easy to simply teach about Jesus. But why not encounter Him?
Revolution is in the air. Revival is in our hearts. The past generation has seen the Kingdom of God advance more than any other time in History. What will our generation hold?
God has more. He desires to pour it out.
What if a word can change a life? What if a life can change a community? What if a community can change a city? What if a city can change a nation? And what if a nation can change the world?
I believe Lord. Let us be Your hands and feet. Let us be Your servants and sons.
I am humbled and yet inspired,
Daniel
