So let me fill you in on what I am actually doing, because I believe that it's pretty cool!
Currently, and for the next 6 months, I am leading a DTS (Discipleship Training School). This is a 6 month training course that YWAM runs to equip and inspire people while giving them a firsthand practical experience of missions. So I have set up this school helping the students apply, and organising speakers, events, schedules, budgets etc. I have a staff team of me and 3 others, with 6 students to invest into.
So during the week I facilitate student learning. This means that from the lectures, study times, applications and everything in between I make sure that the students are picking up what they need to be picking up on, and the things that are distracting them and hindering their learning I need to remove.
Essentially it means that I am leading these guys into a deeper understanding and revelation of God, and what that means for their life. THen to help them to see how God can use what they have for their future.
I am also going to lead a team to India in October, which involved taking a bunch of guys to India to do the works of God there. We are not fully sure how God will use our team, but He will. And in the process of God using us, the students will learn practically some of the lessons and theories that they ahve been taught in class. That on the streets of the world that can experience the love of God for the poor and opressed, and that the mission to show them Christ is so incredibly do-able.
During my last two outreaches we have seen around 800 saved, many people healed and set free from bondage. Many people set free from the religious systems of the world and the pain and depression that results.
Now there are more things to that, but that's the gist of it. If you have questions please let me know them so I can answer them for you!
