A quick little update for you from the weekend.
On Saturday, we went to the local skatepark for a few hours to hang out and we saw God do some cool stuff!
We were hanging out skating around for awhile, and realised we had around 15 youth there that we could talk to... Why not?
I tried to gather them together to talk to them, however due to the combination of youth and energy drinks, only about 5 stuck around. I explained my testimony and the gospel and found out that the two most influential guys of the group were Christians. We prayed for these guys, that they would live a life worthy of their Faith, and prayed for the Holy Spirit. They both encountered God strongly and were baptised into the Spirit then and there! During this a girl came over and was curious as to what we were doing. Well I explained what we were doing and asked if she had heard anything about Christianity before. She said no and so I explained the Gospel to her. At the end of it, I asked her if she wanted to give up her life and receive Christ.
She said yes she would love to. We prayed for her and she received Christ and encountered His peace and love for the first ever time! Right there in the skatepark.
During all of this one of the girls in our group was chatting to a grandma of some of the youth at the park for the whole time. At the start the Grandma told Natalie (staff with YWAM) that she was a complete atheist. (I feel like you don't meet many 75 year old atheist grandma's so this was a great opportunity). At the end of their chatting the grandma told Natalie "I don't know what you are doing, but you are doing something to me. I haven't touched my bible in 50 years, but the first thing I do when I get home is open up my bible and read it." Wow! That's a cool moment.
Sunday night, I was giving a teaching to whoever wanted to show up as an optional thing. So I spoke for a little while and opened it up to the Holy Spirit. We saw many people healed and touched for the first time.
Some particular stories;
- A guy who had his thumb and toes frozen (stiff, not a lot of movement) after breaking them 3 years ago regained moment and no pain in his joints!
- A guy who had a steel pin in his foot after prayer had better movement in that foot than in the other one!
- A girl who had hurt her ankles years before had chronic pain, swelling and lack of movement in them for years was able to fully move them and no more pain!
- A girl who had both MCL in her knees damaged years before and couldn't run/move properly for ages receive healing. She was running around our backyard! Also she was delivered of a fear that had been plaguing her life for years as well.
So it was a pretty good night.
That's all for me, I hope it encourages you, and if you have questions or want more details then just let me know!
Be blessed!
Daniel
