They aren't perfect.
I'm not perfect.
I can still do something great.
So often we see only the best in people's lives, because quite naturally, it's what we show them. We show our best on a date, we show our best on Instagram, we show our best on our facebook pages.
But if you actually know someone you know that 5 minutes before that great moment, was an embarrassing one. That that gorgeous date you have has morning breath (Not you Dukes ;) ). We find that people are in fact normal, and that their mistakes do not disqualify them from God using them, and for them to do great things.
I am not perfect, I make heaps of mistakes, big and small. I hope that on this platform I can be honest with you. I love to share the testimonies of when God comes through, because it's encouraging to us, but you also need to know that I am no different to anyone.
I really struggled with this, thinking that if I said something like this, people would think I'm arrogant, but the reality is that as I gain more exposure, as I do great things, and as I increase in leadership, people meet me as I am now, and have not seen the journey, only heard the stories of the people healed and saved.
It literally shocked me to let the thought enter my mind that in some people's eyes, I am a success. because in my own mind, I am only at the start of the journey, still seeing way more failures than successes.
God is so much bigger than your mistakes or mine. Jesus death paid it all. Either it did or didn't there's no partial way. And if it did, then He will always make a way for redemption and renewal. It we come to Him with humble hearts, seeking His face.
I do not like sin, I am not ok with it. But I am also aware that God is bigger, and that I cannot achieve perfection in myself, but only in allowing myself to be shaped, transformed and conformed to His will.
Love you guys, be encouraged.
Daniel
