A line in this song goes like this is the glory of God alive? Asking the question, and then later he concludes with yes, yes the glory of God is alive.
The reason why I am talking about this now is because we all have doubts. We all have struggles. Now I have seen God move in mighty ways, but sometimes we can get trapped in our thinking that it was for a specific time, place and purpose. Which yes it was, but we then assume that maybe that was all there was. Or that he couldn't move here... Not in Australia, not in America, not in New Zealand.
We look at Jesus, and saw that in certain towns, because of their unbelief, no miracles were performed there, and the move of God that could have been theirs was quenched by unbelief and scepticism.
So we justify ourselves with saying that it was the same for Jesus, that he couldn't do it there, so we cannot do it here. Oh well we say, lets just try and make whatever impact that we can.
I wonder, if when Jesus said “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” he was lying?
Well, personally I don't believe so and I don't believe that you do either. Through the centuries since he left to go back to the Father, we have seen and heard many stories of faith, from those who are his disciples, just as Jesus prophesied. Where there once was a town crippled by unbelief and sin, there was revival with the whole city being transformed. I think of such men as Charles Finney, Smith Wigglesworth. If you don't know them, I encourage you to check them out and what they did in their life, it will blow you away! Not to mention the thousands that are working and seeing this happen all over the world today, in countries such as China, Russia, Iraq, etc. The list goes on and on.
As if what Jesus said wasn't enough, he goes on to say “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring Glory to the Father. You may ask for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
I'm not sure about you, but I'll take that. Thank you Jesus, you truly are good.
Lets not justify anything less than the very Kingdom of God, coming down to earth. That is our prayer, and it is our life. I've seen things this last year that are a taste of what is to come, seeing the sick healed, the lost found, the hurting been comforted, and the powers of darkness driven out.
New Zealand, Australia, USA, Africa, South America, Fiji, Canada, wherever else, we can see God move, and see the Kingdom of God here on earth.
I hope that you have an amazing week, and let this be a flame unto your hearts, to know that you are not alone, God's desire and heart is for the lost. That there are co-workers in the field, and that “Nothing is impossible in God.”
Peace!
Daniel
PS. The song is by a band called Edge | Kingsland, and the Album called Signs of Life. Seriously look them up, you can download it free or with a donation on their website, it is very powerful stuff!
