Is the Glory of God alive?
I have been challenged as of late with this question, and it has been burning a hole in my heart, my mind, my very foundations as to how I approach God and how to live this life...
Surely it seems like a cut and dried answer no? Of course it is we say, how could you suggest not? But what has been troubling me is our attitudes with that statement. Or the question, what would it look like to see the glory of God moving in our lives?
We all believe yes, but maybe deep down, we think not here, not now. Maybe during 'ministry time', maybe during 'outreach', in foreign lands by foreign people the glory of God is kicking down barriers and storming the gates of hell, bring people back from death and enslavement. But we look around countries like Australia, USA, Canada and New Zealand, and we see a slow, boring decline into death of the spirituality and understanding of God in our society.
If we believe.. If we truly think and claim that yes the Glory of God is here today as it was, present here as it is elsewhere... what will that mean for each of us?
More to come in the following days!
Peace,
Daniel
