When they enter the town or village. They ask the locals to bring out all the deaf in the town. They then say taht if you deaf are not healed, then my God is not real and you do not have to beleive in Him.
So far, everyone brought forth has been healed. 100% success rate. THe town sees revival. It comes into a relationship with Jesus, because He is real, they saw it, and they now know that He is better and more loving than any other religion, spirit or idea that they could have.
The reason that I write this is because 1) it's flipping awesome. 2) If our lives are no better than the lives of those we minister to, we have no authority to be calling them to a relationship to Christ. Why would they want to?
Because the reality is, that in the Church today, divorce is rampant. Insecurity is an epidemic. Lust of going crazy. We are just pretty good at hiding it.
What if we actually lived in such a way as people did look at us and say, "you are different and you have something." Let me tell you it would be so easy.
Many can criticize Heidi Baker and others like her. But once again, she is seeing the lost saved, the blind see, the dead raise (they stopped counting after 100), the deaf hear.
They are seeing God move. They have HIm. So they can show the fullness of Him to others in such a way as is so attractive to the world.
We can try and convince people to leave a life of sin, but unless they is something better to move into, genuinely better. Not just an ideal of better, but a reality. Unless we have that, they won't.
The beauty of it is, we can have it. We do have it.
But will we take it? God is pouring it out to us, but are we positioned to receive it?
Are you receiving the life and love that He has in abundance? There's no pressure or judgment on you if not. We have all been there. But this week, lets do it. Let's place ourselves in such a position, every day. Lets see what happens. If nothing happens, well, nothing has changed. But if something does happen. If He does meet us, how incredible might that be? How might that change the world?
That's what I leave you with today, and be blessed, none of these words are spoken in condemnation or judgement. Do not feel burdened by them, but instead see the hope and life that is before us. May His peace be with you, and abide in the love He is pouring out!
