Holiday season is here, the birth of our Saviour!
Things are both winding down here, plus speeding up.. some sort of timewarp I think. You see we have just returned from a 2 months overseas mission, and are with our final week with the school debriefing and celebrating what God have done. It means that its more relaxing not having 24/7 ministry time, but I would prefer that to the 24/7 paperwork I have found myself with to wrap everything up!
The joys of work I suppose haha. Well, it has been a fantastic few months, with God doing some crazy things in the lives of the students and personally as well. The main thing that He has been teaching me is about prayer. I hope to share over the comnig weeks just what prayer is, how we can take part, and the impact that it has. As I am moving along this journey of asking Jesus like the disciples did, "Teach us how to pray."
I will be posting more regurlarly now that I have internet access and some time to myself, and I hope that you can walk this journey into new depths of relationship and power with God through prayer.
Over the past year I have seen God move in ways that I had only ever dreamed about. I have been all over this world, and His power has set hundreds free from the shackles of sin and death. I am being shown now that without this aspect of prayer covering and preparation and power, well... I do not believe for a second that any of this would have happened.
I will leave you with a few questions that you may like to discuss here, or just to dwell on in private. Is there a thing as too much prayer? How effective is it really? What does it accomplish? What importance does Jesus and the bible place on it?
I beleive that as well look into these questions, we will be inspired, challenged and hopefully released into a new anointing of prayer.
"The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
James 5:16b
Peace to you!
